Our Project

2017.01.25 - Eurus Energy Group’s 2nd Utility-Scale Solar Power Plant in US

Eurus Energy Group has been operating of a utility scale photovoltaic power plant in Hawaii, U.S since 14 January 2017.

This is our group’s second largest utility-scale solar project in the U.S.

This power plant was constructed in Waianae, Oahu, the center of Hawaiian politics, economy and tourism, and has a capacity of 27.6MW .

The generated power sells electricity to Hawaiian Electric Company, Inc. (Hawaii’s leading power company) under a 22-year PPA.

This project is qualified for the US ITC (Investment Tax Credit) program as its investor support model, under which Toyota Tsusho Corporation’s US subsidiary will participate as the tax investor.

About 90% of electricity in Hawaii is generated from fossil fuel, similar to Japan, and the state government has announced an ambitious goal to increase the renewable energy ratio to 30% by the 2020, 70% by 2040 and 100% by 2045.

Based on this favorable business development, we intend to expand our business in Hawaii.
